North Las Vegas has a different housing profile from Summerlin or Henderson: more modest homes, more asphalt shingle, simpler roof geometry and fewer association constraints. The heat is identical and so is the Clark County licensing requirement, but the job and the price are not. This page lists roofers serving North Las Vegas.
What North Las Vegas roofers handle
Composition shingle replacement, a larger share here than across the valley.
Tile underlayment replacement on the newer subdivisions.
Flat and low-slope roofing with the coating cycle it needs.
Ventilation and attic work, the highest-return upgrade in this heat.
Decking replacement exposed at tear-off.
Monsoon damage repair after summer storms.
Licensing in Nevada
Nevada requires a state licence from the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB). Roofing falls under C-15 Roofing and Siding or the narrower C-15a Roofing classification.
Behind it sits a real standard: four years of relevant experience, plus two examinations — the Business and Law exam (the Contractor Management Survey) and a trade exam covering safety, substrates and repair technique, both administered by PSI. Applicants must supply proof of industrial insurance and workers’ compensation, a financial statement and bank verification.
Bond amounts are set case by case, from $1,000 to $500,000, based on the scope and financial profile of the applicant — so a bond figure tells you something about how the board assessed that contractor.
In southern Nevada you need to check two things, not one. In Las Vegas and Clark County a contractor needs both an NSCB licence and a current Clark County business licence to pull permits. A licence without the county registration cannot legally start your job.
Verify the NSCB licence directly before signing.
What’s specific to North Las Vegas
More shingle than the rest of the valley. Where much of Las Vegas and Henderson went to tile, North Las Vegas carries a higher share of asphalt shingle. That changes the questions entirely — layer count and decking condition matter, and there is no tile re-use decision to make.
Simpler roofs, lower labour. Single-storey homes with straightforward geometry and easy access genuinely cost less to do well. That is why quotes here sit below the valley’s higher-end communities rather than because of any difference in standard.
Fewer HOA constraints. More freedom on product choice than the master-planned communities, which makes upgrading specification easier.
Heat is the same as everywhere in the valley. Sustained extreme temperatures age assemblies from beneath. Ventilation is the cheapest meaningful upgrade while the roof is open, and on a shingle roof it matters more than on tile.
Clark County licensing applies identically. Both the NSCB licence and a current county business licence are required to permit the work.
Pricing expectations
North Las Vegas figures for 2026, as published by local roofing companies:
- Tile underlayment replacement (tile off, felt out, same tile back): $6,000–$12,000 — against $12,000–$22,000 for a full tile replacement
- Asphalt shingle replacement: $8,500–$15,000; a standard single-family job overall $8,500–$22,000
- Flat or low-slope modified bitumen or TPO: $5,500–$10,500. Metal (standing seam or metal tile) $15,000–$25,000+
- Valley-wide per square foot: asphalt $3.50–$5.50 installed; tile re-roof or lift-and-relay $8–$20; metal $7–$10+
- Valley-wide totals: a standard 2,000 sq ft home $12,000–$18,000, across all materials $7,000–$60,000; asphalt whole-home projects commonly $15,000–$25,000
The North Las Vegas job that actually comes up is not a replacement, it is an underlayment relay — and one local company prices both sides of that choice for this city, at roughly half the money for the same finished roof. The reason is arithmetic: the tile lasts 50 to 100 years, the felt beneath it about 20 (25 to 35+ for modern synthetic), so a tile roof here is expected to need at least one relay in its life. Getting told which one you are being quoted is the biggest single saving available on this page. Two code points apply valley-wide: design wind speed is 115 mph under ASCE 7-16, and shingles in high-wind zones take six nails each rather than four. Heat-rated desert materials and installation add a stated 10 to 20 percent over milder climates.
These are ranges local roofing companies publish for this metro rather than survey data, so treat them as a bracket to check a quote against, not a price list.
Two contract items: whether the quote is a tile underlayment relay or a full tile replacement, and that shingles are being fastened with six nails, as the high-wind zone requires.

How this directory helps
Every roofer here is listed with business name, address and phone so you can verify them yourself.
Three questions sort North Las Vegas contractors. Ask for both the NSCB licence and Clark County business licence. On a shingle roof, ask how many layers are up there. And ask what ventilation the quote includes.
