Henderson is newer and more comprehensively master-planned than Las Vegas, and roofing reflects it. Most neighbourhoods sit under associations with architectural rules covering tile profile and colour, so the material question is often settled before you start comparing quotes. The Clark County licensing requirement applies here as it does across the valley. This page lists roofers serving Henderson.
What Henderson roofers handle
Tile underlayment replacement, the dominant job across the city.
HOA architectural submissions, which precede the work in most communities.
Flat and low-slope roofing on the modern low-pitch designs.
Solar detach and reset around a re-roof, common on newer stock.
Ventilation and attic work in extreme heat.
Decking work exposed once tile is lifted.
Licensing in Nevada
Nevada requires a state licence from the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB). Roofing falls under C-15 Roofing and Siding or the narrower C-15a Roofing classification.
Behind it sits a real standard: four years of relevant experience, plus two examinations — the Business and Law exam (the Contractor Management Survey) and a trade exam covering safety, substrates and repair technique, both administered by PSI. Applicants must supply proof of industrial insurance and workers’ compensation, a financial statement and bank verification.
Bond amounts are set case by case, from $1,000 to $500,000, based on the scope and financial profile of the applicant — so a bond figure tells you something about how the board assessed that contractor.
In southern Nevada you need to check two things, not one. In Las Vegas and Clark County a contractor needs both an NSCB licence and a current Clark County business licence to pull permits. A licence without the county registration cannot legally start your job.
Verify the NSCB licence directly before signing.
What’s specific to Henderson
Re-using the tile usually settles the HOA question. Where an association controls profile and colour, keeping the original tile removes the approval problem entirely — there is no appearance change to approve. It is also far cheaper than new tile, so it is generally both the simpler and the better-value route.
Newer stock, first replacements arriving. Much of Henderson was built within a compressed period, so underlayment across whole communities is reaching end of life together. That makes contractors familiar with your specific neighbourhood genuinely more useful.
The builder specification is worth improving on. Volume builders fit to a budget, and underlayment grade and ventilation were rarely generous. First replacement is the cheapest moment to change both.
Solar is widespread on this stock. Re-roofing under an array means detaching and resetting it — separate cost, often a separate contractor, and it needs sequencing before tear-off.
Clark County licensing applies. Both the NSCB licence and a current county business licence are needed to permit the work.

Henderson publishes two roofing permit exemptions in city ordinance § 15.01.130, and they are worth knowing before you assume a permit is needed: replacement of existing roofing material of the same or higher class is listed as exempt. That is unusual — most cities on this site require a permit for any full replacement. The cost drivers here are the same as Las Vegas: relentless UV, extreme summer heat and monsoon season, with heat-rated materials adding to the spec. Note also that the newer master-planned neighbourhoods — Inspirada and Cadence among them — are only now reaching their first replacement cycle.
These are ranges local roofing companies publish for this metro rather than survey data, so treat them as a bracket to check a quote against, not a price list.
Two contract items: whether your job falls under the § 15.01.130 permit exemption or needs a permit, and whether the tile quote is a lift-and-relay or a full replacement, since the rates differ sharply.

How this directory helps
Every roofer here is listed with business name, address and phone so you can verify them yourself.
Three questions sort Henderson contractors. Ask for both the NSCB licence and Clark County business licence. Ask who handles the HOA submission and whether they have worked in your community. And ask whether existing tile is re-used.
